October 2025 Vendor WRAPP-Up

Welcome to another edition of Vendor WRAPP-Up, showcasing the companies that support and push WRAPP forward.  This month we are highlighting our current Vice President, Sue Sasse, Account Manager with Nouryon.

Su has been with Nouryon for 6 years as the Western Account Manager and loves the Asphalt/Pavement Preservation Industry.  She began working in the Asphalt Industry in January 2017 and prior to this she was on the cement side.  “Cement roofing to be exact,” says Sue, “but switched to the dark side and ground level for the better thanks to Reed International”.

With her Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business, Sue likes being involved with Pavement Preservation and is often known to help others make new business connections. She is on committees with PAAMA, AEMA and ISSA as well as on the Board with WRAPP.  She loves the Asphalt industry and hopes it shows how passionate she is about this.

She lives with her son in a small town in northern California near Modesto but is originally from Germany (where Micro Surfacing is from).  In her free time, she likes to cook and even once made a bunch of breakfast burritos and brought them to a job site visiting a crew early in the morning.

She also enjoys camping, hiking, and paddle boarding, pretty much anything you can do in the mountains if you are going toward Yosemite.   She recently started learning how to golf, which she admits she is horrible at, but she likes the challenge it brings and knows she can learn and get better.

Nouryon recently had the opportunity to work with Ergon Asphalt & Emulsion to perform a trial with its new slow setting emulsifier for FDR, base stabilization, and other recycled cold mixes produced in the plant. The emulsifier Redicote® E-4880 produces a CSS-1h emulsion. A very low recommend emulsifier dosage rate of emulsion. The emulsifier helps to extend workability, passes the cement mixing test, and provides ease of use in the plant.
